Does anyone want to hazard a guess as to what this is a picture of? I used my compact digital camera and a mystery optical system. Links to enlarged.

  7. Perhaps looking through a microscope at a mystery object such as a mineral, but just placing your camera lens up to the eyepiece for the shot. That or your retina with the camera right up to your eye.
