Hearing Test

Here is a site that has a bunch of mp3s of different frequencies. You can use these to determine your audible frequency threshold. With my desktop speakers I was able to hear up to 17 000 Hz. Putting on my headphones allowed me to hear up to 23 000 Hz.

  3. hey more on this. you will find this interesting.

At my house i have small rack mount bright high intensity lights that project to the wall from the ceiling. they are not incandcent, i think they might be flourescent but they look more like hallogens.
    Anyway, none of that matters.

    Sound.

The sound that these lights make when i turn them on is a high=pitched squeel, v. v. high frequency. So i dont turn them on.

however, one day my parents came over, and entered the room. they turned on the lights and sat down and started to have a conversation.

“don’t you hear that” i asked

    “hear what?” they both asked.

    “serious….”i replied

    “yes…hear what?”

so ever since then i have been testing people. Some people hear it. others think i am insane.

to this date there are only 4 other people that have heard it.

    I tried it on tempest.
nope he could not hear it.

I cant remember if emerson heard it or not.

anyway, i think that our ears are allowed to take in different frequencies but our brains can only interpret a select range of freq.

much like our eyes. but that is a different story.

    :-/
